The West Des Moines Chamber of Commerce invites area residents to meet the six candidates running for four seats on the West Des Moines City Council at a forum.
Participating in the forum will be incumbent Mayor Steven Gaer, the incumbent Councilman for the At-Large seat, Rick Messerschmidt, and challenger Rene Hardman, incumbent Councilman for the First Ward, Kevin Trevillyan, incumbent
Council member for the Third Ward Russ Trimble, and challenger Nadir Mehta. Each candidate will be given the opportunity to make individual introductory statements followed by written questions submitted by the audience. The forum will be moderated by Chamber Board Chair Danny Beyer. The forum will be televised on the local West Des Moines government access channel. The general
