Dr. Lisa Remy, Ed.D., will inspire, educate and encourage you as she discusses her relationships and her road to success. Dr. Remy earned her bachelor’s degree in education, master’s degree in Spanish teaching, Superintendent’s certification, and doctorate degree in educational administration from the University of Northern Iowa. She began her career in education as a Spanish teacher at Hudson Community Schools in Hudson, Iowa. She later served as high school Principal at Hudson. She came to the WDMCS in 2000, serving as Associate Principal at Valley High School. She was Principal of Indian Hills Junior High for four years before becoming the Associate Superintendent of Human Resources in 2006. Steve Lacy is Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Meredith Corporation, the leading media and marketing company serving American women. In the Des Moines community, Lacy is Chair of the Des Moines Redevelopment Corporation. He was Chair of United Way of Central Iowa’s 2011 campaign. He is past Chair of the Greater Des Moines Partnership Board; and has served in leadership positions with the American Red Cross, Junior Achievement, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Easter Seals and the Dowling Catholic High School Foundation.
