The August membership luncheon will include an educational message from KCCI 8 News Executive Producer Erin Moynihan. Moynihan is a graduate of the Missouri School of Journalism. Her work in the news business has taken her across the country. She has produced multiple newscasts throughout the Midwest and prior to becoming executive producer, she produced the top-rated 10 p.m. newscast on KCCI. She has been honored with Emmy and Regional Edward R. Murrow awards. She also oversees KCCI’s political coverage. The Wild West Golf Outing joins the memberships of West Des Moines, Clive and Urbandale chambers in an action-packed day on the course of Beaver Creek Golf Club each September. Both morning and afternoon shotgun starts provide plenty of opportunity for more than 350 golfers to enjoy the links and the camaraderie of fellow Chamber members. Business Incubator Networking Group – Iowa is dedicated to helping start and grow businesses. The organization has a weekly business-building lunch and learn networking group and a weekly business-building collaborative workshop. These events are currently open to the public. Additionally, they offer a weekly tight-knit leads referral networking group.

 

Metro Business Friends

Business networking group that meets Thursday mornings at 8:30 a.m. at the upper level conference room at Price Chopper, 5440 N.W. 86th St. in Johnston. No dues. Must simply commit to attending at least one meeting per month. Social events held periodically throughout the year as well. Next one is Oct. 27 from 4-7 p.m. at Doc’s Lounge in Johnston.
