Optimae LifeServices is hiring a full time Team Leader in Ames. The role of Team Leader is to be an accessible, competent resource for employees who work at a specific site. Team Leaders are continually assessing and responding to customer needs, site needs, and staff needs. They act as role models for the provision of quality services by demonstrating responsible, ethical, customer-centered behaviors. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide direct services to customers. Serve as mentor to site staff. Problem solves site specific issues, develop competency in staff to build individual staff confidence. Build consensus amongst staff. Daily quality assurance regarding maintenance of vehicles, medication systems, building. Assure client appointments are scheduled and kept. Delegate tasks to other staff. Facilitate regular staff meetings. Schedule staff and individual appointments. Orient Direct Support Professionals and other staff working the site. Maintain customer files. Ongoing assessment of customers. Complete and submit entitlement paperwork to assist customers in obtaining benefits. Maintain financial system for Payee accounts. Complete and submit daily census. Participate in the on-call rotation. Tour prospective clients. EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE: Be at least 18 years of age. Two years post high school education in a human service related field or two years full-time equivalent experience serving person with disabilities is preferred.
