Requirements of the Position:

Ability to play hymns/songs for congregational singing

Prepare and play 4-5 pieces of service music each Sunday, in addition to the hymns/songs

Ability to effectively accompany choir rehearsals

Practice with soloist and small ensembles, if needed

Be a member of, or meet with, the Worship Committee on a regular basis

Willingness to provide three references and undergo a background check

Occasional Activities:

Play for extra worship services, including Christmas Eve and Maundy Thursday Services

Play for weddings and funerals, if available. (Fees are paid directly to the organist by the families.)

Arrange for appropriate substitutes during vacations and extra services, if needed

Interpersonal Relationship Skills Needed:

Ability to work cooperatively and collegially with the minister, choir, and lay leaders
